Cement pipe making molds are a common type of equipment used in the construction of cement pipes for residential areas, urban planning and development, roads, airports, and railways. Pipe making molds are simple to use, durable, highly efficient, and adaptable to different environmental temperature variations. The output of cement pipes is related to the number of pipe making molds required. Below are some tips for selecting pipe making molds.

Cement pipe making molds are divided into three types: flat end, tongue and groove, and spigot and socket. Spigot and socket molds are further divided into rigid spigot and flexible spigot molds. Currently, it is recommended to invest exclusively in flexible spigot molds, as the sealing performance of rigid spigots is far inferior to that of flexible spigots. Therefore, the development trend is towards cement pipe production using this type of mold for its superior sealing performance.

Firstly, the mold's wear-resistant ring rotates in friction with the main shaft of the pipe making machine. Therefore, the quality of the two friction wheels on the mold must be high. Generally, this wear-resistant ring is made of cast steel. The width and hardness of this wear-resistant ring determine the mold's wear resistance and extend its service life. Of course, the wear-resistant ring is matched with the material of the main shaft of the pipe making machine. The strength of the mold's wear-resistant ring is slightly lower than that of the main shaft. A pipe making machine can be equipped with many molds. If the same hardness steel is used for friction between these wheels, the main shaft will wear faster. Therefore, we need to reduce the grade of the mold's friction components by two levels.

Having discussed the friction components, let's move on to the mold body: a thicker mold body results in less deformation. A key point is the longitudinal and circumferential ribs of the body. It's important to note that a heavier mold doesn't necessarily mean greater durability. The strength of the steel plates used also varies, leading to price differences. Careful differentiation is crucial when making your selection.

This concludes our introduction to the selection of cement pipe molds. We hope this information is helpful. Regardless of the type of mechanical mold, proper use and maintenance are essential for ensuring a long service life.
