Pole steel molds are the molds used to produce cement poles. Due to different production and usage needs, mold products come in different materials and styles. The main differences between molds lie in the materials used, the precision of the mold, and the manufacturing process. Different styles and materials of molds also have different prices. How much do you know about mold materials? Let's take a look.

The commonly used materials for pole steel molds are mainly the following:

For mold cylinder selection, domestic manufacturers commonly use Q235 steel. However, a superior alternative is Q345 low-alloy high-strength steel. Why high-strength steel? Its superior tensile strength, yield strength, and manganese content compared to Q235. This low-alloy steel is more difficult to manufacture, significantly increasing both raw material and labor costs during mold production. Those with specific needs can have molds made from this material custom-made.

The mold material is also reflected in the running wheels. These wheels are the load-bearing and friction points of the entire mold, transmitting all power. Therefore, their material cannot be simple; 45# steel becomes the first choice. Since there are no readily available finished 45# running wheels in China, material proportioning and casting are required. Of course, the casting process follows standard production methods. Using ordinary Q235 or Q345 running wheels would simply be producing lower-grade friction wheels, significantly reducing their lifespan.

When selecting utility pole steel molds, users should pay attention to the material of the mold products, the quality of the products, and the usage methods.
