Molds may experience premature fatigue and creep due to alternating loads during operation, improper operation, or untimely maintenance, resulting in distortion in three-dimensional space. The principle of the external force method: It employs a force balance method. A sufficiently rigid or strong top-pressure (support) frame is constructed, and water is forcibly added using jacks.

Applicable scope of this method: One-dimensional linear deformation of cement pipe molds; relatively large deformations; long-distance deformations.

Precautions for using this method: The magnitude of the applied force should be increased or decreased depending on the degree of correction. The mold must be held in place, preventing movement, especially in the direction of the diameter half-mold opening. Experience is gained to control the fulcrum and force application points. Overcorrection should be avoided.
